The Saudi Association of Special Education (GESTER) is a scientific association established at King Saud University (KSU) that house educational studies and supportive services in the field of special education and disabilities. GESTER is allowed to establish regional offices if needed.

Academic Associations and societies at KSU represent one of the most important sources that enrich academic life. Moreover, they act as KSU entities responsible of providing community services. GESTER has been founded to cater for the tenacious needs of a specialized entity to institute scientific academic research in the field of special education and disabilities. GESTER will also act as a moderator between various local and global sectors to enhance the efforts geared towards the issues related to individuals with disabilities.
